This Veterans day we will honor our Veterans and explore whether acts of bravery are driven by courage or a belief that we are following a course that is true. Courage or Faith will ask us to consider times in our personal lives when we act out of our core values and faith rather than or in addition to courage.
Our guest speaker, Reverend Julie-Ann Silberman-Bunn is a lifelong Unitarian Universalist, who grew up in congregations in NJ. Rev. Julie-Ann has served as a Parish Minister, Religious Educator, Hospice Chaplain and Hospital Chaplain. Julie-Ann is a full-time chaplain with New England Hospice and quarter time Assistant Minister at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Greater Springfield. An author of chapters in Everyday Spiritual Practice and Living a Call. Julie-Ann reflects frequently on what it means to be a Unitarian Universalism and evolving her understanding of faith, spiritual practices, and quality of life.
Julie-Ann and her husband Ken live in their forever home, a cabin in the woods of Western Massachusetts.
We will attempt to simulcast our service via Zoom. For those participating by Zoom, the experience will be different than previously. The hymns and other material will not be on the screen, and those present in the sanctuary will not be able to see or hear you. If you have an Announcement or a Joy or Concern to share, you should communicate it in advance to someone who will be physically present. The Zoom link
