This Sunday, December 9th, our sermon "Making A Manger" will be given by Katelyn Haven. Growing up in a Catholic family meant hearing the story of Jesus' birth many times. The month of
December is a time of reflection and celebration for many and I too am filled with wonder at this time near the end of our calendar year. This Sunday marks the second in Advent, the last Sunday of Chalica, the 2nd to last night of Hanukkah... There is never a shortage of things to work on and do and see and buy and celebrate. This time can feel frenzied as we try and figure it all out. As Unitarian Universalists we don't necessarily have a shared belief or ritual to mark this passage of time but we do have a shared space where we can explore, learn, ask questions, affirm our principles and cultivate space to wonder. As the season calls us inwards and the external light dwindles let us come together in awe
