“The Measurements of Liberation”
We are consistently urged through our Unitarian Universalist values and principles to see our dignity tied to the dignity of others. A dignity, that when seen in others is Godly, a type of holiness that connects us to a Love, perhaps a God, who tells us to love the stranger and to love the stranger actively. And yet loving the stranger has been a struggle for us as a people and us as a country. This Sunday we will explore what it means to be active in this love.
Our guest, Rev Jo Murphy is the new Executive Director for UU Mass Action and has jumped right into mobilizing and organizing with the many UU Mass Action campaigns. Jo previously worked as a chaplain at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, in addition to being a case manager supporting people living with brain injuries. She is a volunteer organizer with the Boston Immigration Justice Accompaniment Network and loves runs that end in brunch.
Our Service On Sunday Morning Starts at 10:30 AM
- The front entrance is the only door to be accessible, leading directly into the sanctuary; the community room will be off limits
- Masks are optional and will be provided along with sanitizer.
- Coffee and tea will be provided, however, individuals may bring their own coffee or beverage
- Social hour will be in the sanctuary
We will attempt to simulcast our service via Zoom. For those participating by Zoom, the experience will be different than previously. The hymns and other material will not be on the screen, and those present in the sanctuary will not be able to see or hear you. If you have an Announcement or a Joy or Concern to share, you should communicate it in advance to someone who will be physically present. The Zoom link is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82879461348 and the passcode is FallRiver (no space). To join by phone, call 1 646 876 9923. The meeting ID is 828 7946 1348 and the passcode is 556537114
