Our sermon for November 8th “Peace Can Be”. Sermon Description: Richard Baydin, a kind Boston poet who died of COVID this Spring, wrote, "Peace Can Be," with the line, "Let Peace touch the Heart- openings and closings...Peace is a long table where All Earth Eats, and a giant room where all are comforted." Let's take time to hear his words, and consider what is the "growing edge" of possibility and connection in this strange time we're in.

Our guest leader, Daniel Lawlor is excited to be joining us this November 8th, especially during these COVID Times. Daniel is a Master’s in Divinity student at Boston University School of Theology, and is in his second year as ministerial intern at First Church Boston. In summer 2019, he completed his introductory Clinical Pastoral Education at Massachusetts General Hospital. Drawing on his family’s example of engaged, religious practice and community work in RI, Daniel is inspired by caring communities and honored to witness the joys and sorrows in our faith. A former middle school teacher in Fall River, MA and a fundraiser in Oakland, CA, Daniel hopes to see you on Sunday!

Daniel was excited to write two recent opinion pieces for the Fall River Herald,  " Welcoming Refugees is a Virtue America Can't Afford to Lose" and " Howard Thurman and the Growing Edge."
