Hello to all of our family and friends,
Rev Vera O’Brien is our guest this coming Sunday, February 7th. Our sermon for this day is “Blessings of Uncertainty”. As Benjamin Franklin may have said, “in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.” Most of us are uncomfortable with very much uncertainty and this year, uncertainty has certainly increased in many ways. But could there be blessings in uncertainty? We’ll look at different answers to this question in our time together.
Won’t you join us? Send an email to office@unitarianchurchfr.org to get the ZOOM link.
Rev. Vera O’Brien served as an interfaith chaplain at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and at HopeHealth- a hospice in MA and R.I. She was ordained at the Arlington Street Church in 2007 during her time as their Lifespan Religious Educator and is an Affiliated Community Minister there. Rev. Vera lives in Plymouth where she was introduced to Unitarian Universalism after unexpectedly following the Pilgrims’ Progress one Thanksgiving morning in the 1980’s from the waterfront into First Parish in Plymouth!
Please remember that our address is 309 North Main Street, Fall River, MA 02720 and that we have a secure drop box at the front of church building, so that you can keep up with your pledges and donations in support of our church. A BIG thank you to all of our friends who have consistently honored their commitment to our church during this difficult time.
Hope to see you next week. And, as always, if you no longer want to receive these notices, let me know and I will remove your email address. If you know of anyone who would like to join us, send them a copy of this email and let me know that you did.
