On October 18, Nick Boke will speak on "The Religion of Individualism." Inspired by an op-ed piece a friend sent him, he examines the question about what we, as Americans, really cherish as our religion. If he's right, we have a lot of work to do.

Dear Unitarian Church family,
Our sermon for September 20th is “Monkey Wants the Moon”. “Buffy” says, I don’t know about you but I’ve spent a fair amount of time recently wanting things I can’t have. This sermon is about wanting.
The common denominator behind the 2020 protests and sharp divisions across the nation is the question of privilege in an unfair power hierarchy. But what is privilege? Dr. Mike Boudria suggests that privilege is rooted in experiences; to have or not have privilege in society is to have one set of experiences and not another.
This week on the 6th of September, Our own Rev Richard Trudeau will be conducting our ZOOM service. The Sermon title: “Sometimes the Little Guy Wins”. Description: You may remember the 1989 photo of a man standing in front of a tank in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square. We will tell that story, and two others. i hope that you will join us as we start to bring our church family back together.
