Today's sermon is "Promethean Eve: A New Look at Eve and the Serpent"

This Week, on Sunday February 18th, our guest leader is Rev. John Burciaga. His sermon will be entitled “LOVING".

“Valentine's Day is just past and love is still in the air. But the history of it was not always pretty, and it got even uglier when love became democratic. But still, it is the best four-letter word in our vocabulary and there’s a reason for that. Come see and hear what it’s all about!”

Power and Privilege is a brief look at the history of race in America. In our first principle we covenant to affirm and promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person. The seventh principle asks us to covenant to affirm and promote respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part. Both  principles call us to explore more deeply how we live and move in the world. We'll explore the ideas of power and privilege and explain what we mean when we talk about white supremacy and white fragility.

"This time of year many of us are waiting on the return of spring and warmth, and the feelings of newness and beginnings. In our excitement and longing we may rush it a bit. It's in our nature to want to feel good and avoid the….opposite.

This Week our guest leader is Rev. John Burciaga. His sermon will be  entitled “COUNT TO TEN: A Sermon on Anger".  This may be the time in our generation that Anger is not so much general and         dispersed as it is directed and focused on people and issues. Rather  than continue the finger-pointing, let’s try to understand what anger is and how it works in our lives.

On Sunday, January 21 st, our  Guest Leader  is Rev Paul Langston-Daley. Our sermon topic this week is “True, Kind, Necessary?” In a society that feels likes it gone off the rails, how might we bring civility into the conversation? Spiritual maturity requires intention and practice, and is needed now more than ever in our world. On Sunday, we will explore one possible solution for how we might bring change. Hope to see you here to see if we can be part of the solution and not part of the problem.

Rev Richard J Trudeau will be joining us on the 7th of January with his take on "No Wonder We’re So Messed Up!" Evolutionary biologists have discovered some things that shed light on why we have trouble doing what we know we should, and not doing what we know we shouldn’t. Maybe you can learn why if you show up on Sunday morning at 10:30 AM at the Unitarian Church located at 309 North Main Street in Fall River.

The sermon will be entitled “Wise Guys". Among traditional Birth stories of the season is that of the Three Wise Men, significant for being both true and untrue, and therein lies its greater fascination--hence a tale to be "un-packed" for its truer, and not just symbolic, meaning. we are welcoming you to our service and hope that you will come.

This is the Christian season of Advent, a time of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas. What does this season mean for us today?  What are we waiting for?
